Lyndsey Carey

Lyndsey is an illustrator who creates whimsical, romantic, warm figures and scenes for children and adults. She was born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida and is currently living in Tampa, Florida.

She works with acrylic, watercolor, ink and digital media and utilizes different combinations of these mediums to create hybrid illustrations. As a ballet dancer, her work utilizes the understanding of human movement complexities and forms to transcribe the physicality of people. Lyndsey believes emotion greatly manifests in the body and aims to use the movement of humans in combination with a unique style and color for visual storytelling. Applying the same idea of expression to her non-figurative illustrations as well.

Lyndsey studied painting at Los Angeles City College and is a graduate with a BFA in Illustration from Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design in December 2022. Her goal is to create illustrations that assist in telling stories and ideas by solving problems with inventiveness and ingenuity.
